Georgia Performance Standards
The Georgia Performance Standards are guidelines for Georgia teachers for use in the classroom. These guidelines lay out specific goals that teachers should have for their students. The guidelines are categorized by grade and subject.
On the Georgia Performance standards website, there is a glossary of terms that a new teacher might find useful. These terms are words that may be confusing, and need more clarification in order to better understand the standards as a whole.
I also found it very interesting that the website offers updates to the GPS. This feature let me know that the standards are ever evolving, and also that community input is considered.
This website offers research-based education practices.
